Flap Jack Recipe
Flap Jacks by Marcus
A delicious treat - great for parties, taking to work, pot lucks etc!
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
500 g Scotts Porrige Oats
125 g Demerara sugar
5 Tbs. Lyle's Golden Syrup
1 tsp Ground ginger
Method:
In a pot melt the butter and sugar and add golgen syrup. Stir in oats thorougly until uniformly mixed. Remove from pot and press into a greased 9" x 9" shallow bakeing tray using a large spoon or some other implement.
Bake at 375 F for 20 minutes and then let stand for 15 minutes. Cut, serve and use as you would Brownies.
Hint: Warm the golden syrup in hot water for 15 minutes before using - it will be much easier to handle!
